Frequently
Asked
Questions
What do you do, exactly?
I provide health coaching and support for women in perimenopause, menopause and beyond . I consider myself a guide/ partner working with you on your health and wellness journey. I am able to assist with hormone therapy literacy, sleep, functional nutrition, exercise, and care coordination. I look at each client as an individual. Although we are all humans, each of is unique. I pay attention to the details.

I do not diagnose or replace your clinician. I help you understand your options and optimize your health by looking at your individual situation, symptoms and health goals. I will use education, functional nutrition and life style changes to help you meet those goals. I can also help prepare you for appointments, review medications and build practical plans between visits.
Are you a medical provider?
I’m a Registered Nurse (NY license), a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (NAMS), and a functional nutrition counselor (Functional Nutrition Alliance) I don’t diagnose, prescribe, or manage emergencies. I collaborate with you—and, with permission, your clinicians—to keep your care aligned and actionable.
Do you take insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid?
My services are private-pay. I can provide a superbill upon request so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement from your plan or use HSA/FSA. Reimbursement is not guaranteed..
What can we work on together?
We can examine any health care concerns through a functional nutritional lens: vitamin deficiencies, osteopenia , osteoporosis, supplements, poor sleep, skin rashes, inflammation, autoimmune issues, and more.
Symptom mapping (hot flashes, sleep, mood, cognition, weight change, sexual health)
HRT literacy (risks, benefits, formulations, timing)
Non-hormonal options (SSRIs/SNRIs, and other medications as well as lifestyle)
Exercise planning (strength, balance, pelvic health)
Lab literacy and appointment prep
Care coordination for complex medical histories
Do you recommend or manage hormone therapy (HRT)?
I help you and your prescriber evaluate options (e.g., transdermal estradiol + micronized progesterone when indicated), review evidence, and prepare shared-decision questions. I also discuss non-hormonal options and contraindications to bring to your clinician. I don't prescribe medications.
Do you order labs or imaging?
I can suggest guideline-informed talking points (e.g., ferritin, TSH if indicated, lipid panel, A1c, vitamin D for bone health risk) to discuss with your clinician.
Will you coordinate with my doctor?
Yes. I can share visit summaries, clarify care plans, and help reduce duplication or gaps.
Do you work with complex cases?
Yes I consider myself a health detective and can often suggest nutritional and lifestyle changes that can make a huge difference to your health and wellness. I can help organize questions for specialists (cardiology, oncology, endocrinology, pelvic floor, sleep), track recommendations, and support behavior change. I defer medical decision-making to your clinicians.
What outcomes should I expect?
Most clients report better symptom control, clearer next steps with their clinicians, improved sleep and energy, and more consistent nutrition/exercise habits within 4–8 weeks.
